In the light reflection and refraction experiment aimed to understand the reflection and refraction at: plan parallel, triangular prism and the prism half-circle, to determine the value of the refractive index and a shift in the parallel plan, to determine the value of the refractive index and the minimum deviation of a triangular prism, to understand the internal reflection. When a beam of light on the boundary between two transparent medium so in certain circumstances a portion of the light is reflected and part will go into the second medium, in which the light beam will be approached or been turned away from the normal line. The phenomenon of deflection or change of direction experienced by the beam of light in the second medium is called refraction of light. Magnitude of the refractive index obtained in parallel with the calculation plan with graphs 1.63 and 1.134, which is different from the theory of the glass where the refractive index of 1.5. While the prism obtained by calculating the refractive index of 1.62 and 0.836 graphs. Deviation angle is an extensions of the light beam and the reflected rays come. deviation angle values obtained for the triangular prism is: 29 °, 41 °, 44 °, 52 °, 44 °, 70 °, 77 °.
